That means more than placing items on a tall shelf. Kids can climb. Guests can open cabinets. Pets can knock over bags or dig through trash. A safer setup includes:
A locked box or lockable cabinet Use this for flower, edibles, concentrates, vape cartridges, batteries, and accessories.
Original child-resistant packaging Keep labels, serving information, and warnings attached whenever possible.
A consistent storage spot Do not leave products scattered on counters, nightstands, coffee tables, backpacks, purses, or cars.

Edibles deserve extra care because they can look like regular snacks. Gummies, chocolates, baked goods, and beverages should always be sealed, labeled, and locked away after use. Never assume packaging alone is enough.
Keep cannabis in a cool, dry location
Heat, moisture, air, and light can all affect cannabis products. A cool, dry location helps protect flavor, texture, potency, and safety.

Store edibles like you would store medicine
Edibles require some of the strictest storage habits. They often resemble candy, cookies, drinks, or other familiar foods. That makes safe storage essential.

Away from kids, pets, visitors, and anyone who should not access them

Store vapes safely and never leave them in vehicles
Vape cartridges, disposable vapes, batteries, and chargers need clean, careful storage. Keep cartridges upright when possible to reduce leaking. Keep batteries away from loose coins, keys, and metal objects. Use the charger that came with the device or one approved for that battery type.
Vapes should be stored:

Separate from loose metal objects

Never leave vapes in vehicles. Heat can thin the oil, cause leaks, damage hardware, or stress the battery. Cold temperatures can also affect oil flow and device performance. Make safe storage part of the routine
